Compress Image to 10 KB

Set to 10 KB already. Choose your photo or signature and download a JPG inside the limit.

10 KB is a tight limit, used mostly for signatures and thumb impressions on recruitment forms. A signature has little detail, so it compresses to 10 KB easily; a face photo usually has to be made smaller in pixels as well.

About Compress Image to 10 KB

10 KB is a tight limit, used mostly for signatures and thumb impressions on recruitment forms. A signature has little detail, so it compresses to 10 KB easily; a face photo usually has to be made smaller in pixels as well.

If the form gives the size in pixels, choose "Exact size in pixels" and enter it, for example 140 × 60 for a signature. The compressor then holds that size and lowers only the quality.

How it works

  1. Choose one or more photos from your phone or computer.
  2. Type the size you need in KB, or tap 20, 50, 100 or 200 KB. Set the pixel or centimetre size if the form asks for one.
  3. Press Compress and download each image, or all of them as a ZIP.

Questions people ask

How do I reduce a signature to 10 KB?

Sign on white paper, take a photo, add it here and download. For a cleaner result with the paper turned white, use the exam photo and signature tool.

My form says 4 KB to 10 KB. Can it do that?

Yes. Type 10 in the first box and 4 in "Not smaller than". The JPG is kept between the two.

Why does my photo look blurred at 10 KB?

10 KB holds very little detail. Use the smallest pixel size the form allows, such as 200 × 230, so the detail that remains is spent on fewer pixels.

Is it free, and is my file uploaded?

Yes, it is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Your file is processed inside your browser and is never uploaded to a server.
